Android 9 Pie based Samsung Experience UI 10 leaked out with massive changes
Android 9 Pie is the upcoming major Android update for Samsung flagships Galaxy S9, S9+, S8, S8+ and Note 8. Now the Galaxy S9+ running on Android 9 Pie showcased the major UI changes coming with the Pie update. In the Experience 10 based on Android Pie, Samsung fully redesigned the interface. The folks at XDA developers managed to get an early build of Pie for the Snapdragon variant of S9+ to test.
The major visual change in the Experience UI 10 is System UI. The System UI got revamped with many changes like AMOLED dark theme, card style UI with curvy edges like on Pixel and revamped quick settings with Rounded buttons. The lockscreen updated with newly designed clock positioned near to the center and the color of icons appear at the bottom of the screen.
The recent apps overview appear in Pie style like on Pixel devices, which is a horizontally scrollable one with the dock at the bottom. But as this is an early build, many changes to the app previews may occur in coming previews.
In the System Settings, as Samsung previous promised, the update sports a night theme which can be enabled at scheduled time or also automatically. The South Korean tech giant updated the Gestures and Motions section with new gestures.
Bixby also got revamped in the Experience 10 UI on Android Pie, the Samsung’s digital assistant got curved borders and a night theme which is gorgeous, indeed. The Bixby home hasn’t got any new features yet but the setup screen gets some refinements.
The dialer and Messages apps also got revamped with new Night theme and minor changes. Search bar in the Dailer app refined, got wider and also thicker. In the messages, UI appears with curvy edges and conversations and contacts option appear at the bottom of the screen. The icons in the Messages app have been slightly changed.
The Samsung Mail, Camera, Internet and My files apps also changed in the next Experience 10 UI. All these apps are updated with curvey corners but Email app doesn’t get the night theme support yet. The intetface of Camera has improved with the addition of new options but the Camera app crashes because of bugs in the early build.
