Google Pixel 4 Release, News, Features and Rumour Roundup
Google Pixel is one of the most successful flagship lineups and recently third generation of Pixel arrived. The upcoming flagship in Pixel lineup is expected to come with the name Pixel 4 and carries a whole new all-screen design with almost no bezels. The latest patent filings by Google, first spotted by 91Mobiles suggest the next flagship will feature all-screen design. Recent renders leaked through reliable sources point towards Dual Rear Camera.
The next flagship from Google will be powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset which is designed by Qualcomm. Because of 7nm process, the mobile platform offers great performance and also very much energy efficient. According to official benchmarks, the chipset may give 30 – 50 percent improvement in performance over its predecessor. Because of X50 LTE modem which can be combined with SD855, Pixel 4 might offer 5G support which can reach speeds upto 5Gbps.
Pixel 4 Display
The Pixel 3 flagship features 5.5 inch OLED Display with thin bezels. Due to the elegant design of Pixel 4 and very thin bezels, screen size might reach upto 6 inches. Google may use the OLED panels manufactured by LG for Pixel 4, as its predecessors. More details about the Display and design of Pixel 4 will be revealed in coming days.
The Pixel 4 is coming with pre-loaded Android Q OS and probably receive updates upto three years as per revised Google’s update policy. The Search Giant unveiled the first Beta of Android Q on 13th March with tons of new features and Security refinements. The final release of Android Q is scheduled for Q3 of 2019. One of the remarkable features of Android Q is improved battery saving mode with system wide dark mode. As Android Q is coming with Desktop mode support, Pixel 4 may also support it too. Revamped permissions give granular control of Location sharing, File sharing, Wi-Fi Auto enable and disable and other. More features of Android Q will be revealed in coming days.
Pixel 4 Battery
Battery is one of the departments, Pixel lineup falls below other flagships. In the upcoming Pixel 4 flagship, Google may use 3200 mAh Li-Po battery, stepping up from 2910 mAh of Pixel 3. The flagship may sport Quick Charge 4+ and also wireless charging support.
Pixel 4 Release Date
The latest flagship from Google arrived in October 2018, so we expect the next flagship will hit shelves in September or October 2019. The price range of Pixel 4 is yet to be revealed, but we expect it might be slightly higher than Pixel 3 due to new design and other goodies. The Search Giant released the Android Q first Beta on 13th March and the rollout of OTA begins for Pixel series including original Pixel, Pixel 2, Pixel 3 devices. The Beta has come with tons of new features and we are still digging inside it.
The leaked renders of Pixel 4 reveals that the flagship is coming with Dual Rear Camera design. So in Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL we may see new Camera setup with improved picture quality and portrait mode.
