HTC U12+ to be officially unveiled on May 23

HTC has just revealed the official launch date of the next flagship. HTC Germany shared on twitter, the image with the date of May 23 on it, indicating the official launch of HTC U12+.

The background of the image shows the key components of which most likely the next flagship, HTC U12+. The tweet made by the HTC Germany translated as “ A masterpiece, the whole, holds much more than the sum of its parts… more we will show you on the 23rd of May.”

So it almost confirms the next flagship from HTC is coming on May 23rd.

According to the leaked specs till now, the HTC U12+ flagship will be powered by Snapdragon 845 chipset and sport 6GB Ram just like other flagships. The internal storage of the flagship might be 128 GB or 64 GB. According to the live images leaked last week, the HTC U12+ will feature dual camera setup on the rear side along with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The picture shot also indicates the presence of Dual LED flash and Laser autofocus. Fortunately, the flagship won’t feature any notch on the display which is the latest trend.

The leaks suggest that the flagship won’t feature the legendary 3.5mm jack, so users have to use USB-Type C for both charging and headphones. The battery capacity of the flagship is yet to be known. Finally, we expect the price tag of the device will be in the range of previous HTC flagship prices.
