Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro get EEC Certification with pre-loaded Android 9 Pie
Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro are the upcoming flagship smartphones from Huawei and are the successors of Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro respectively. The flagships are scheduled for release somewhere in October, according to Huawei and now they get official certifications in Europe from Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
In the certifications, first spotted by Nashvillechatter, not much details about the flagships have revealed, but it looks like Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro are coming with model numbers HMA-L29 and LYA-L29 respectively and run on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
As many users of Huawei experienced, the Huawei devices sport a custom skin called EMUI over stock android. The Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro flagship are going to sport the upcoming EMUI 9.0 user interface. The company is expected to unveil its new UI at the IFA 2018 in the beginning of September.
Many leaks have revealed the hardware specs and design of Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro devices. The Mate 20 and its sibling is coming with a small notch as in Essential Phone, according to the leaked render through XDA. On the rear, the flagship sports 40MP + 20MP telephoto lens combination and dual tone LED flash.
The flagships are going to be powered by home-grown Kirin 980 chipset, the first 7nm chipset from Huawei.
The price list and release dates of the device is yet to be revealed. Most likely in the next month, pricing details of the upcoming Huawei flagships for Europe will emerge.
